solid axle and cv shaft/ cv joint

hi sir my name is i want to know that what does solid axle means and does solid axle has its half shaft mounted in its axle assembly and secondly does solid axle has a CV shaft/CV JOINT like the independent suspension has and does tacoma has solid axle on both front and rear axles well sir waiting for your humble reply thanks indeed

A solid axle would be just the opposite of independent suspension and would not have any C/V axles. It could be a non-drive axle or an old style drive axle as in rear wheel drive.
