My car keeps smoking from under the hood, it looks like it's coming from somewhere behind my motor. My car got extremely loud running all at once this morning. I have checked the fluids multiple times and they are all full. I can't seem to find a leak that would be causing the smoke or any other issue. I am not a certified mechanic but do know my way around the car any advice on other things I can check would be greatly appreciated.

Hi,

When you say it got loud, do you mean it now sounds like an exhaust issue? As far as behind the motor, there is a lot there. Have you checked on or around the exhaust in the rear?

Let me know which engine is in the vehicle. There were two different V6 engines and a 4-cylinder used. I need to know which you have. (See pic below)

Also, if it is a V6, check around the intake for coolant leaks. Also, there is a plastic quick connect in the rear that may be leaking onto the exhaust.

If you could, record it running and upload it for me to hear. Also, if you can, I would scan for diagnostic codes. Here is a link that explains how it's done. All you need is a short jumper wire or even a paper clip.

Let me know.
