Smoke from glove box, now vents do not work?

Had the A/C on blast, suddenly the vent stopped, and smoke came from the glove box, car runs fine otherwise.

Here are all of the things I have done with no luck:

Replaced blower motor (it will not turn on even with the new one).
Checked blower motor resistor (looks fine).
Confirmed air intake was not clogged.
Checked all vent fuses and relays.

I don’t see any burnt connections or evidence of fire; this car looks wicked clean.

Any help or advice you have would be great.

Even though the resistor looks okay it can still be bad, did the resistor or the blower motor smell burnt? I would check fuse #35 in the under-hood fuse panel here is a guide to help.

Also, here are the HVAC wiring diagrams so you can see how the system works, also there is a blower motor relay that might be out as well in the same fuse panel as the blower motor fuse. Check out the images (below). Let us know what happens and please upload pictures or videos of the problem so we can see what's going on.
