Hello, recently put a new engine in this truck. I notice during hard acceleration the tachometer and engine will kind of stick around the 4000/4500 rpm ranger but during normal acceleration no issues. Transmission has been serviced before and no issues found. Not sure if this is the camshaft positioning sensor or fuel filter. This vehicle is used for emergency responses hence hard acceleration at times. Appreciate any advice.

Good evening my name is Roy and I will assist.

Do you have any codes set?

FFrom your description, it sounds like the throttle body plate may be sticking open on hard acceleration. Check the throttle body and make sure it is clean.
