Truck was doing fine except sometimes would hang shifting from 2nd to 3rd, would let off gas then would shift fine. Then yesterday my 4 year old decide he was going to help wash carpet in my truck and flooded floor from back seats up with hose . The water puddled pretty bad in passenger floor board. Got all water out . Was going to take it to town to vacuum it out. Start out fine and about a mile half down road started slipping. Lost all gears pulled over shut it off . Sat there a min and then tried back in 1st it engaged so I shifted manually all the way to drive held until I slowed down and let off gas . Then all was lost again . Turn off . Restarted 5 minutes later . And repeated the process. If put in drive to start it would shift till going in 3 would not shift. so this process I used to get truck home about 9 miles . I go until I had to let of gas . Then stop and try again never got over 3500 on tachometer. Would never pick up good speed . About 35 was the highest. Don't know if carpet has anything to do with it . But that's the only major change.

We should make sure the fluid level is okay. but it sounds like the pressure regulating solenoid #3 is out. Here is the location so you can check it out with instructions on how to check the fluid level. lets run the codes as well.

Check out the diagrams (below). Let us know what happens and please upload pictures or videos of the problem.

Okay, I will go check that out . I hook up a Diablo 2 scanner and programmer to it . And it shows no codes . But i have also read you have to have particular scanner for transmission codes. But I'll do what you said and get back with .
Thanks, jackie

The scanner should pick up transmission codes as well. This could be a bad PCM which is common. Let me know after fluid and pressure regulating solenoid check replacement.

Still have no scanner but I did however learn the odometer test mode codes and the codes are as follow:
9352??
D041 SCP invalid ,missindata car
Speed
D123 SCP wrong or loss of odometer data
9318 battery low
D262 lost or missing SCP message
Also a day or two before this happened I guess my fuel vent line got stopped up and I can't put but I don't know it takes me about 10 minutes to put three gallons of gas would this have anything to do with it?

We need to use a scanner to get the actual codes. These are all cluster codes that could point to shifting issues but they are not going to directly relate to a powertrain issue so we really need to get the codes.

You can stop by a parts store if you don't have a scanner to get them and that should get them for us.

However, these SCP codes are pointing to a communication network issue so that is good to know as we should have some codes that will point us in the right direction.

I attached below a quick explanation of these modules and the SCP system.

Please let us know what you find and we can go from there. Thanks
