Changed the latch assembly because the motor was grinding while unlocking the sliding door. Door was still fine open and close fully. After i changed it there is a small gap once locked, and if i don't push it to fully lock it the power door wont slide with the button. Not sure what to adjust here.

Hello, this can be caused by a crooked latch or bent parts. Did you happen to beat on the mounting screws to get them loose? If you bent the thin sheet metal that the latch bolts to in any way, it will throw off the alignment. You may can wedge a screwdriver in between the latch and metal to straighten it and test fit, or you may need to break down the door again and fiddle with the latch placement until the door fitment is correct again before putting it back together. It can be a pain, but attention to detail is key here.

Hope this helps,
William

nothing looked bent. no didn't beat anything, everything came out smooth, so there is no adjustments on any of the cables that attach to the latch. I remember there were 3 of them.

The cable will not need to be adjusted, only the location or angle of the latch. If you have to push down on the door then the latch is catching itself on the striker.

hmm, I guess I got to play with it. So remove 2 bolts and keep one and close it then open it and tighten it.

Yes you will just have to play with it. There is just enough spacing between the bolts and the metal to allow enough movement for it to catch itself.

Let us know,
