2002 Skoda Fabia 4 cyl Two Wheel Drive Manual

Speedometer do not work fault seems to be intermitent where can i locate the speedometer sensor? Someone else had this kind of fault?

VSS (vehicle speed sensor) is located on the rear of gearbox
