Transmission will not shift into third gear?

Car won't go into 3rd gear. Start off in 2nd gear then as RPMs rise move gear shift to D to skip 3rd gear or car will go in N and I either have to go back to 2nd or restart car if it doesn't go back in 2nd. What can I do to fix this? Thank you

This sounds like an input shaft speed sensor is not working or you have a shift solenoid that is out. Also, you should check the level of the transmission fluid as well. Let's run the codes to see what comes up.
