My brake pedal sinks all the way to the floor, but I can still slowly stop. I've bled the brakes, and changed the master cylinder. Neither of those fixed the problem. Today I replaced the brake booster and I can stop a little bit faster but the pedal still sinks to the floor. What else could cause this problem?

Good morning,

It sounds like you still have air in the lines. You may need to get a pressure bleeder. That is where fluid is forced through the lines and the air forced out.

You can rent one at a parts store.

If you have ABS, below is the procedure for bleeding the ABS unit.

STANDARD PROCEDURE - BLEEDING ABS BRAKE SYSTEM
ABS system bleeding requires conventional bleeding methods plus use of the DRB scan tool. The procedure involves performing a base brake bleeding, followed by use of the scan tool to cycle and bleed the HCU pump and solenoids. A second base brake bleeding procedure is then required to remove any air remaining in the system.

1. Perform base brake bleeding.
2. Connect scan tool to the Data Link Connector.
3. Select ANTILOCK BRAKES, followed by MISCELLANEOUS, then BLEED BRAKES. Follow the instructions displayed. When scan tool displays TEST COMPLETE, disconnect scan tool and proceed.
4. Perform base brake bleeding a second time.
5. Top off master cylinder fluid level and verify proper brake operation before moving vehicle.
