My driver's side front side indicator light will not turn on with the headlights. However it lights up normally when it is flashing as a turn signal.

Hi and thanks for using 2CarPros.

The bulb you are referring to is a dual filament bulb. Basically, one of the filaments has failed and the other still works. Simply replace the bulb and it should be fine.

Here are the directions for replacing one specific to your vehicle:

FRONT SIDE MARKER/FRONT TURN LIGHT BULB REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [WITH DISCHARGE HEADLIGHT SYSTEM]

1. Turn the steering wheel to full right lock. (Front side marker/Front turn light bulb (LH))

2. Disconnect the negative battery cable. See: Battery > Procedures > Negative Battery Cable Disconnection/Connection

3. Partially peel back the mudguard (LH). (Front side marker/Front turn light bulb (LH))

4. Rotate the socket in the direction of the arrow (1) shown in the figure and remove it from the front combination light in the direction of the arrow (2) shown in the figure.

5. Remove the front side marker/front turn light bulb.

CAUTION:

- A bulb generates extremely high heat when it is illuminated. If the surface of the bulb is soiled, excessive heat will build up and the life of the bulb will be shortened. When replacing the bulb, hold the metal flange, not the glass.

6. Install in the reverse order of removal.

Let me know if this helps or if you have other questions.

Take care,
Joe
