Everything ran fine until today, truck shutoff and I thought to add gas since it was low, still no response. I proceeded to replace fuel relay, fuel pump and filter and problem with it running longer than a couple minutes continued and would not start until a cool down period of 30 min. Or so. The engine would start with a shot of starting fluid/gas telling me there is spark but no gas until cool down or natural reset of loop.

Check your fuel pressure shold be 9-13 psi if no pressure then check for a a wiring issue make sure items in pic have been checked the pump relay item 3 and inline fuse item 15 it may be blown if blown check for a shorted wire. Make sure pump is getting power. It is also controlled by oil pressure switch so it may be that or a bad connection.

After replacing distributor, coil, cap and rotor as well as fuel pump, fuel relay and filter the problem was solved as well as for the future in regards to maintenance items replaced to refresh the system. I believe the coil was the culprit all in all.
