Shuts off

Vehicle cranks but shuts off when the gas pedal is released.

So it will start up but shuts down when you release the pedal. IE it will not idle. Have you had the battery disconnected or has it gone drained before this started? If yes then you just need to get it running and drive it so it can relearn the idle position.

If no then it is more than likely a dirty throttle body or IAC which is not allowing air through to let the engine idle. Here is a generic guide on cleaning them:

Be sure to use actual throttle body cleaner. Some of the more generic cleaners can damage the internal coating of the bore.

Thank you so much. I had two bad coil packs and a dirty throttle body. Took care of that and my vehicle is back to normal.

Good to hear. Cleaning the throttle body is something that should be added to the maintenance list but it will not be.
