I'm cruising on the highway and I press the gas pedal and I feel a shudder through the truck and then it goes away. If I do a hard acceleration it does not do it at all. I've already placed the coil packs and it still does it.

Hi and thanks for using 2CarPros.

Often times a shudder is caused by the transmission. If the check engine light isn't on indicating a misfire, that is my first suspect.

There have been issues of shudder resulting from a faulty torque converter clutch. I attached a picture diagnostic procedure for determine if that is the issue. Take a look through it and let me know if it helps. I feel this is the cause. Also, they make really good products that help eliminate transmission shudder. It would be a cheap and easy test. Just follow the directions.

Take care,
Joe
