Shows malfunction indicator

Hi my car shows malfunction indicator when I turned the ignition key to the on state. But it goes immediately when I start the car or turn the ignition key to start state.
Is it something serious to consider or its a common incident?

There is also no suspicious indicators while I'm driving.

Is the light on when the motor is running?

Thanks for reply. No. Once I start the motor there is no indication of malfunction.
