My car pull left over bumps and can feel the wheel wants to go left all the time. Had it in kwit fit and they said the problem is that the shock absorber on the drives side need replacing. I thought because it pulls left the problem would be on the passenger side because it pulls left, but they said they counteract each other. Is this true?
Thank you

We have no information on this car, but it sounds more like a front end problem not a shock unless the shock is completely gone. Kind of sounds like an alignment problem have front end checked.

Shocks absorb bumps in the road and operate independently so no they do not counter act only for bumps. From your description it sounds more like a front end problem like out of alignment or a worn ball joint/etc. As we do not have Vauxhall in the US we have no information on them. It could be your one shock on left hand side is worn out and leaking but I would think it is more of a front end problem than anything else or a brake problem causing it to pull left.
