i have to to push shifting lever forcefully to engage D and N range. i feel like that lever is loose. thanks

Hello,
It sounds like the shifter cable has gone bad. You will need to jack the car up to replace it.
thanks very much ....shifting cable is good....the problem is when i tranfere lever from D position to N position it stay on D unless i push it forcely ,,,the same thing happen from N to D

The neutral safety switch is what controls that operation. I would check that out, here is a guide some diagrams (below) that will help you get the problem fixed.
