The car battery is completely drained and I am trying to shift it into neutral from park. Is there any way of overriding the lock on the gear shifter to move it to neutral?

Good evening,

It would be easiest to remove the air filter housing and release the cable from the transmission. You just need a screwdriver to pop off the end from the linkage.
