I have noticed for the past few years that only when I am in traffic that my automatic transmission likes to act manual. If I am in constant stop and go traffic then after about ten minutes or so when I press on the gas I notice that every five mph it shifts hard so it jerks forwarded. When I get up to normal speed and constant movement it gets less and less until it goes away. Whats wrong?

check fluid if you have a dipstick if not a mechanic will have to do it. if color is dark brown or black there is something internally wrong. then have a transmission professional scan for codes.
