When I put it into a gear it stalls for a minute and then go into gear. Also, it starts out in a high gear once it is cranked.

Good afternoon,

Is the check engine light on? If it is, do you know the codes?

Make sure the fluid level is correct. I would start by changing the transmission fluid. There may be debris in the valve body causing this issue.

Yes, the check engine light is on. But I do not know the codes. And I cannot get to an auto shop to run it for codes. Also, the fluid is full and I replaced a torque converter, transmission control solenoid, and speed sensor.

Got it.

I need the codes to help narrow the area of failure.

You replaced the torque converter already?

Yes, the torque converter, speed sensor solenoid, transmission control solenoid, and The position speed sensor has all been replaced. When I was able to drive it to the part store, I believe the code was 1715 however since all those parts have been changed out. I do not know what codes are popping up now.

Okay, question.

Why did you not replace the clutches and steels inside the transmission when you had it out of the car?

Okay, you stated two times you replaced the torque converter. That is internal in the transmission.

I assume you mean the solenoid.

Did you change the oil/filter in the transmission?

Okay, we are back to the codes. You may need to have someone bring a code reader to you to pull the codes.

I wish I could help more but I have no information to work with except you replaced parts and I do not know why.

I think you should have it towed somewhere and have someone diagnose it for you.

Thanks for your advice. I thought maybe something was wrong with the computer because I have a code reader and it keeps saying error, but when I put it on my other vehicle it works.

I understand. It is hard from here to try to help without seeing it, touching it and physically checking it myself.
