When I was coming home from work I was backing into my parking spot when I heard a loud pop. After that the car wouldn’t move in any of the drive gears or reverse. When in park the car also rolls like it’s in neutral. When the car is in drive or reverse, there are loud clicking noises coming from my front end and gets faster as I hit the gas pedal. Please help. Thank you.

Good morning,

You have a broken axle in the front of the car.

The pop was most likely the CV joint failing. When this happens the car will not move either way and park will not work.

This is an easy repair compared to replacing the transmission.
