Starts great, idles good. When driving off it shift pretty well, but when slowing down it doesn't feel like it down shifts. And when taking off again it feels like it's stuck in a gear with no power. Restarting the car solves the problem until slowing down again. Isn't throwing any codes.

Hi,

That is an interesting one. I recall a technical service bulletin related to shift issues. Its focus was specific to the AT cooler being clogged and requiring a flush.

Actually, I just found the bulletin. I attached it below. Take a look through it and see if you feel it is relevant with what you are experiencing.

Also, there were two different transmissions used on this vehicle. One was a traditional automatic and the other was a CVT. If you know which one you have, let me know.

Let me know your thoughts.

Take care,

Joe
