How do I shift from 1, 2, 3, when in Drive mode or Park mode?

What is the exact issue? Does the transmission shift out of park?

No, just want to know how to use the 'manual transmission'. There's nothing wrong with the car, I guess since I haven't used those gears.

The 1, 2, 3 mode is for helping slowing down the car from higher speeds.

It is also good for moving in snow conditions when the wheels are slipping.
