Hi,
Two things to check. First, do the brake lamps work? Power to actuate the park interlock is triggered by the brake lamp switch.
Next, I need you to check the IGN 3 fuse in the left rear fuse box under the left rear seat. Check to make sure the fuse is good and there is power to it with the key on and the brake pedal pressed. You will need a helper for that.

I attached the wiring schematic for the shift interlock circuit. Power from the ignition switch goes direct to the relay R25 when the brake is depressed. R22 has power at all times. When R25 receives power and ground, it closes the circuit in the relay and sends power to release the solenoid via R22 and R23.
Since the battery was dead and you had to jump-start it, this fuse is a very good possible cause.
Let me know what you find or if you have other questions.
Take care,
Joe
