The shifter will not move out of park?

I cannot get the car to move out of park.

Hi,

It sounds like the shift interlock is preventing the shifter from being moved. Don't laugh, but are the brake lights working? Power to actuate the interlock solenoid is provided via the brake light switch. So, if the lights aren't working, it won't shift.

Next, I need to know if the vehicle has a column shift or floor shift setup. Also, I attached a wiring schematic below indicating power is supplied via fuse 39 in the fuse block. Check the fuse first. If it is good, confirm there is power to and from it.
