Shifter says different gear then what's on the dash and transmission not shifting into gear properly

I have the car listed above Wolfsburg Edition with a 6 speed manual transmission. Not going back in park after shifting to drive. Gets stuck in reverse trying to put it in park.

Hi,

I'm a bit confused. Is this a manual transmission or automatic? It sounds like an automatic and your heading says that, but you indicate it as a 6 speed manual. Please confirm for me.

If it is an automatic, I need to know if when you try to place it in park and it stops in reverse, if the shifter is moving the entire way. Also, is the indicator on the dash always wrong?
