Okay, I have the vehicle listed above, bought it as a project car. He told me the shift cables were stretched when I bought it, so it was stuck in gear. I bought it replaced the shift cables, and it still acts like it is stuck in gear. I can shift into 1st and 2nd no problems, 3rd and 4th give me an issue, 5th does not give me an issue but when I shift into reverse it’ll go in reverse but when I let out of the clutch it acts like it wants to stall out and doesn't move. I want it to be able to shift smoothly into all gears and be able to backup in reverse. I replaced the shift link cables and the whole clutch kit and nothing seemed to fix the issue. I’m thinking cylinders but idk I need help! Would be great!

The transmission could be broken internally but we need to check the shift cable are installed correctly. This diagram should help. Also, have a helper shift through the gears while you watch the shift cable operation and particularly the mounts and shift arms of the transmission. Check out the images (below). Please upload pictures or videos in your response of any problems so we can see what to help you with.
