shaking when cornering to the left

Hi,

My civic shakes, looks like from the right side front wheel when cornering to the left and when accelerating over 70km/h while climbing up a hill.
front wheel bearings replaced, new tires, wheel balancing done with front alignment and right CV joint replaced (Complete CV joint inner and outer) with no luck.

you help is highly appreciated.

Normally this is a CV axle or wheel bearing so if you changed these then we need to move onto checking the rest of the front end. The next likely thing would be the tie rod, either inner or outer.

So, you need to lift the front end and wiggle the tire at 3 and 9 o'clock and find out if there is any movement. There should be none and feel tight. If the tire moves when wiggling this way, then you need to replace the tie rods.

i have checked the tie rods they seem to be good, but if both tires are in the air and you try to wiggle the right wheel without moving the rack you feel a little movement.
Could the strut be the cause because when you accelerate, and the front of the car lift you feel the vibration above 70km/h or one of the motor mounts.

Okay. Let's take a step back. If both tires are in the air the only movement, you should get is when the rack and other tires are moving as well. However, that is going to feel like drag and not a wiggle. It is going to be very hard to get this movement so if you are feeling a little movement then that is an issue.

Clearly, I am not looking at the vehicle so I will defer to you, but I don't think we can cross off tie rods yet.

As for the strut and motor mounts, those can cause vibrations but not as you are describing. The mounts will cause a vibration through the dash and front end most when idling and worse when in gear.

The struts will normally cause an issue only when you are hitting bumps.

So, if you are feeling this in the steering wheel then more than likely it is steering related.

Is it possible to get a video of you checking the front end and we can see what the movement looks like? Then is the steering wheel visibly shaking when this happens? If so, can you get a video of that as well?

Hi,

Problem solved it seems the part indicated below was bent from one side causing the rim when fitting not centering properly i filed it all around and it solved the problem.

Oh wow. Great find. That is the centering hub so that makes total sense now that we know that.
