Okay, my car listed above (GT) was riding good on the road but I had 215 60 16 on front and 225 60 16 on the rear. the ABS light and the traction control light kept coming on because I found out the tire difference. So when I have all the same size tires it starts riding rough, hard kinda loud. but when I turn the wheel sometimes it pops. I was told to replace the rack and pinion.could that be the reason it rides rough and shakes or could it be the tires or the balancing? I had the front 2 balanced,or could it be the alignment?

Good morning,

Can you explain more about the rough riding?

Does the whole car shake, front end or engine? I need as much information as possible to help you.

It starts shaking around 30-50 mph.On the freeway when it starts shaking if you let off the gas it mostly stops.Could tires that were on my parts car that were away from the sun cause it?I don't know how long they were on the car,but the 2 towards the sun were all cracked and flat. another thing will stock wheels off a 2007 Mustang GT fit? my friend has a set that I can try and see if it is the tires or not.

Wow, the first thing I would do is get rid of those tires and get some new ones and have them balanced.

The shaking also could be caused by CV joints on the axles. Shaking that goes away when slowing down is usually related to the axle CV joints. Have someone put it on a lift and have them checked for lateral play.

No, to the other wheels.
