Well, the first thing to do would be to scan it to see what codes are stored in the system. I also wouldn't drive it until it is repaired, shaking and check engine light generally means it is misfiring and that can do a lot more damage than other problems. The vehicle should still be under the 10-year 100,000-mile warranty as well so it should be covered unless it was a salvaged vehicle. I would call the local dealer and give them the information about the car. Then they should repair it.
