I have the car listed above that ran fine. The ESC light was on. But ran fine, all of a sudden it starts to run very badly, bogged down, shaky, and decreased speed/engine power. Still will get up to speed but takes forever. Got one of those fixed sensor things you plug into car. It threw codes for 3 injectors. Mechanic says he replaced all 6, still ran the same. Checked catalytic converter and muffler they're okay, another code was PCV. Replaced the purge control valve still the same. Other code was ECM he says not sure don't want to change because they would have to send to be reprogrammed and if it's not that then the money was wasted on that. Mechanic says checked coil packs. It's been 2 weeks now. Still not running right. I have no other car to drive. When all this started happening it also said on dash ESC and service traction control. Help I'm broke and can't afford to take anywhere else now. I'm at around $500.00 with them so far.

Hi,

The first thing I noticed is that the injectors are all related to one side of the engine. Each side of the engine (cylinders 1, 3, 5 and then 2, 4, 6) have a separate fuse to power them. Since it happened all at once, I would first check the fuse relevant to that bank (cylinder 1, 3, 5).

I attached two pics below. The first one shows the legend for the fuses in the under hood fuse box. Pic 2 shows their location in the box. I need you to check fuse 43. In addition to checking the fuse itself, confirm there is power available to it.

Here is a link you may find helpful:

Do this and let me know what you find.

Take care,
Joe

He says he has checked the power to and the fuses themselves. Also says injectors aren't running in sync like they're supposed to. He ordered and put on PCV and also ordered vent, but says he doesn't believe it's the PCV vent he explained it doesn't work that way explained it like a gas can out in the sun. I have no clue what hes talking about. Hes still at a loss. And I'm going bald from stress, lol.

Hi,

Okay, please don't lose hair over this. LOL How does he know the injector timing is off? Also, he is right. The idea that the injector timing is a problem won't be eliminated by a PCV valve.

Ask him how he knows about the injection and let me know what he says. Also, I understand the idea of the gas can expanding in the sun, but I'm not sure what in the car is acting that way.

Let me know.
Joe
