My car had a oil change and tune up recently, but it tries to stop at a stoplight unless i put in park every time.

Often times, an engine vacuum leak can cause a rough idle and stall. Also, an idle air control valve (IAC) can do it too. The IAC is responsible for maintaining the engine idle speed.

Before we jump into the IAC, first check for engine vacuum leaks. Here is a link that explains how to check. If the problem started after the tune up, there is a good chance this is the problem.
