Hi,

Does it seem to come from the rear of the vehicle or the front? Have you checked differential fluids as well as the transfer case fluid?

If you look at pic 1, it shows where the fill plug is on the transfer case. Remove that plug. Fluid should be at the bottom of the threads.

On the differential covers, there is a plug. Checking fluid level is the same.

Let me know what you find and if the sound seems to come from the front or rear. Also, is it a grinding or more of a howling noise? Have you checked brakes and axle joints?

Joe

CJ, sorry i just saw this, but it was my clutch packs and it’s fixed now. now my problem is my UCA hitting my shock when going over even a small hill above 30. i do have a 3 inch block in the rear and i believe a 2.5” leveling kit in the front.

Hi,

I hate to ask this, but could you start a new thread with the new question? We are trying to keep the threads specific to one topic so it is helpful to others.

I hope you understand.

Thanks.
