Shuts off when sitting a signal, hesitates when driving like it is not getting enough fuel

I recently purchased the truck listed above. It had been sitting for a couple years. It shuts off at any light, it hesitates when driving like it's not getting enough fuel. When the tank is full it seems to drive better than when low on fuel. Have to really pump it to start then black smoke comes out. The speedometer dances when I turn the signal on. I have put new oil filter, spark plugs, air filter, fuel pump and recently cleaned the mass air flow sensor and the throttle position sensor.

Hi,

The black smoke indicates it's getting too much fuel. Have you checked to make sure the fuel pressure is within spec? You could have a faulty fuel pressure regulator.

Also, I want you to try and retrieve diagnostic trouble codes. This vehicle has an OBD1 system and doesn't require a scanner to get codes. Follow the directions in this link:
