Can I set the valves one by one with the engine running like you can with the older small blocks? I need to know how to adjust the valves properly. At dead top center which valves can be set? Then do i bring number 6 cylinder to top dead center, then set which valves?

Good morning,

There is no adjusting the valves in this engine. You just torque down the rocker arm to specs and that is it.

I attached the torque spec for you to follow for the rocker arms.

Roy

The manufacturer indicates that this vehicle has hydraulic lifters or adjusters and therefore does not require adjustment.

Tighten the rocker arm bolt to 14 Nm (124 in. lbs.) plus 30 degrees.
