I have a serpentine belt that has two marks of scaring on the backside of the serpentine belt.I rented a serpentine belt tool to try to remove the serpentine belt the tensioner will not release the tension enough for me to remove the serpentine belt. Can I just remove the belt tensioner pulley with the belt still on the pulleys?

Hello,

I'm sure that there is. There should just be one bolt holding an idler pulley on, but I would double check that you have the right tool to take tension of the tensioner. In the diagrams down below I have included the Original Equipment Manufacturer[OEM] part numbers for the 2 drive belts, the drive belt diagrams, and the instructions for the removal and installation of the drive belts for your vehicle. Please go through these guides and get back to us with how everything turns out.

Thanks,
Alex
