My car has a lot of issues in general but recently my belt had broke. And now when I turn on my car the battery light comes on but it's not the alternator or battery. So I believe it to be the serpentine belt but every time I get one it ends up being a little too big even when I keep going smaller. I don't know the right size and the people at o'Reilly's keep trying to help but they just keep showing me the same ones. I need help in knowing what size to get for my car and I need to know if it's okay if it's a little loose or if it's even supposed to stay/be tight.

Let's have them check the battery and alternator just to be sure because it could be a coincidence.

Then we need to check and make sure the tensioner is operating properly and putting the proper tension on the belt. Here is a guide that talks about this:

Lastly, I attached the different part numbers depending on how the vehicle is equipped. I would suggest calling the dealer and having them run the VIN and pulling the exact part number. Clearly it will be one of these but we need to know if it has California emissions or not.

Let us know if you have questions. Thanks
