I guess I'm just looking for confirmation, I need to replace a serpentine belt. Everyone says to Jack up the engine from the oil pan. Aside from using a block of wood to distribute the weight is there anything else I should know?

I'm worried I'm going to crush the oil pan.

Just put light pressure on the oil pan until you unbolt the engine mount.Take it slow you could probably turn the front wheel remove the engine side shield. Then route the belt around everything that's how I usually do it
