You will need the appropriate tool to tug the spring-loaded tension-er, (red arrow) to the left to remove the tension on the belt. Pull the belt off, then install the new one in the same configuration.
Most commonly the tool needed is a half inch ratchet or breaker bar. A few take a 3/8" drive ratchet.
