There isn’t enough space to remove the belt?

The belt location is so close to the inside left wall that once I get the belt loose, there isn’t enough space to remove the belt, let alone install a new belt. What should I do?

This is a common complaint on these vehicles, especially the DOHC. It is tight but they come out. More than likely you can get it out from the bottom easier. I have fought many of these belts on these so they are not easy and there are no tricks. Just take it off the tensioner and then you start fighting with it. As I said, I found it easier to come out the bottom but I always had a lift to get under the vehicle easier.

Hopefully you get it but again it will test your patients.

Hello,

In the diagrams down below I have included the serpentine drive belt instructions for it's removal and installation for your vehicle from the vehicle manufacturer. Please go through this guide and report back on how everything turns out.

Thanks,
Alex
