I had my car towed to the mechanic from a referral from a family friend due to my car not starting. They went over what needed to get my car fixed and they said/replaced the following:
Serpentine drive belt.
Re-manufactured alternator.
Air filter.
Negative battery cable.
Re-manufactured starter.
Intake manifold gasket.

I picked up my car, kind of thought the heat was not working correctly but it had been really cold that day and just assumed it was due to weather. With in thirty miles on to the highway my power steering went out, my radio, heat and car. I ended up having to get it towed back to the shop, the belt had come off. At the shop the owner said it was not my fault. My water pump was bad and needed to be replaced. Well because the belt fell off and chain reactions apparently a head gasket got blown and they used the blue devil to fix it. I go to pick up my car, the engine light is on and I have no heat and it sounded like a water bed on the cabin side. I re dropped off my car. They explained they missed a step on the blue devil and then they back flushed my heater core and refill antifreeze. Told me that it was working and I went and picked up my car and I have no heat. My engine started to overheat and I pulled over there was no antifreeze, it appeared to be spewing on to the engine. Please advise.

Good afternoon. There is no such thing as an additive that repairs failed head gaskets. The only repair is to replace the gasket and have the head checked for being straight and no cracks. Also, that stuff clogs the radiator and heater core and causes all kinds of issue such as no heat which you have right now.

They apparently created some issues from there repair.

I think you need a second opinion from another shop as to what has happened and if it was a result of the original repair.
