Sepentine belt

The serpentine belt clacks against the front of the engine when it is idling in gear, but not when driving or in park.

If it is moving that much you have a bad tension-er assembly, bad belt or one of the accessories is faulty. It should not be that loose. Best to get it checked and determine the problem before it breaks or falls off.
