Hit a deer and caused body and a little internal damage to my 06 sonata. Got the car back and the next day was driving down the freeway and heard ticking sound and car died on interstate. I have the 2.4 liter 4 cylinder model is it zero tolerance? Also took it to the shop said the timing chain looked possibly broken does the mean it caused piston and valve damage? This really seems like bad luck cause the car was fine until I hit that deer then I get the body work done and it dies on freeway next day. Any ideas or suggestions? I did not let the first diagnosis go through cause I wanted an adjuster to luck at my car and get another opinion.

I believe your vehicle has an interference engine which means the valves may be damaged if the timing belt has broken. However, with only 11K miles on the vehicle, I can't believe it broke and I don't see how hitting a deer would have caused the problem. I would get a second opinion.
