Security system problem

I drive this truck everyday to and from work. Today I went out to crank it and it started then stopped immediately.
Told that's a security system problem.
However, my truck uses a regular key, not a VATS key.
How can I 'fix' this?

Hello,
Can you tell me if the security light is flashing when you try to crank the engine over?
Please let me know.
