Had my car stolen in October and it was found in March. I have put a new battery in it but I need to know how to reset the darn security as it will only drive for about fifteen minutes until it shuts off again and will not turn over. I can unplug the negative battery cable for fifteen and get it to drive again, but that is a hassle as I know it will work without doing that. I need the car for work please please help. Can't pay anything now I am so broke having to take ubers to work. Need my car.

Hello,

This doesn't sound like it's your security system, but it does sound like your vehicle's Crankshaft Position Sensor (CKP) is going out. Your vehicle uses the CKP to get rotational information on the crankshaft for engine rpm's and uses it for misfire monitor. When the CKP sensor is starting to fail, it will work fine when it's cold, but will start to fail when it gets heated up. Without this information your vehicle's Power-train Control Module (PCM) will think the vehicle isn't running and will shut it down. I have included a few links below for you to go to:

I have included a location diagram in the diagrams down below for you. Please go through these guides and get back to us with what you find out.

Thanks,
