If you replaced the steering lock housing did you relearn the pass lock sensor? Because there is no chip in the key on that car.

I did not replace housing only sensor. I will try another relearn when I get off work and will let you know or how can I disarm security? The security light flashes four times going as I am starting it and when car dies the light stays on.

The sensor is part of the steering lock housing it does not come separate. There is no good way to bypass the ignition security

You are doing three ten minute cycles and not turning the key off until the security light turns off each time?

So what exactly did you replace I am still confused what you actually replaced? you replaced the part you out the key in only? If so why did you replace it and how did you remove it? I am trying to get a idea if what happened so I can help you. Because if you just replace the part the key goes in it should have started right up with the new one.

When I do the relearn the security light flashes. when I try to start it then when it dies the light stays lit does not matter how long I leave key on for ten, eleven or twelve minutes. do I do the test anyway?

The light has to go out each cycle. You never answered me how did you drill the ignition cylinder to get the old one out? Or doing anything that might have damaged the passlock sensor in the ignition housing? Because if it was fine before you changed the cylinder then that is all I can think of. Because if you only changed the cylinder it makes no sense why the light would be on unless you damaged the passlock sensor.
