Secondary hood latch stuck

I had a minor gender bender on my front end. A lil damage. When i tried to open my hood to put in oil, my secondary hood latch won't open. I have tried everything i can think of. What do you suggest?

So to be clear, the hood pops open but will not release the secondary safety latch. There are two hood latches on this car so one of them must not be operating correctly due to the crash. I would try moving the hood back and forth and up and down while trying to activate the secondary release, you may nee two people to do this.
