I had a check engine light while driving. The scan shows code P0410-Secondary air injection: (fault function chain)Air flow is too low.
I checked all the relays, fuses, vacuum lines.
Replaced the post catalytic o2 sensor.
Erased the code and returned on driving 2 miles.
I notice smell of gasoline on and off in the car and rough idle as well.
Planning on changing the canister purge valve.
Sir, waiting for your expert comments.

I think you are on the right path. This issue is more then likely the purge is stuck open or closed.

I attached the testing that needs to be done but Mercedes requires a scan tool for most all their tests. So if it were me, I would replace the control valve and go from there.

Please let us know what happens with this as I am curious to see how this turns out. Thanks

Thank you Sir, I have ordered the purge valve on eBay, so once I replace it I will be in touch with you. As you said I will start from there. Have a blessed day, bye.

Good morning Sir.

After almost 9 weeks I received my shipment (it was delayed because of Covid) hence I didn't contact you. I replaced the purge valve with the new one I received and cleared the code P0410. No CEL after that. So it seems that the purge valve was faulty.
Thanks for your valuable support, your advice is highly appreciated. Have a blessed weekend, bye.
Vivek

That is great info and I am sure that will help others in the future. Sorry it took so long but that seems to be common these days.

Please let us know if you need anything in the future. Thanks
