Seat belt wrapped around headrest

Passenger seat belt is wrapped around headrest and it's locked and the headrest isn't removable.
Also it's an Equinox not an Express. Misclicked.

Hello,

This is interesting, the only thing I can think of is unbolting the seat or seat belt assembly. I can provide both procedures. I would try to remove the seat first but don't let the seat belt get tighter once you start moving the seat. The diagrams are for the driver side but it will be the same procedure for the passenger side.

Seat belt is tight. Should I just take out the seat belt?

Yes, if you think the seat belt is too tight already around the seat.
