what size of screw that goes into the bottom frame on outside mirrors?

i tried at a bolt and screw place and didn't have anything close to the original screw not sae or metric. please help, thanks.

Bolt sizes aren't provided in manuals, but if you could upload a picture of what you are dealing with, I may have suggestions. Also, I need to see the mirror type.
