My vehicle starts fine but at the very end of turn on before reading key, there's a small screeching sound. Like a 2 second time frame. Usually happens in the morning after the car has been sitting there overnight.

Hi,

Does this happen when the engine first starts or as soon as you put the key in the ignition? Also, can you tell approximately where the sound comes from? For example; does it seem to be under the dash, under the hood and so on?

If at all possible, could you record it and upload it for me to hear and see what is happening?

Let me know.

no, not at start-up but right before the car turns on and I let the key go since the car is on.

Does it seem to be coming from under the dash? Is it possible to record and upload the sound so I can hear it? I'm questioning if it is something with the HVAC. One of the actuators or air flow doors may be moving and creating that sound.

Okay. I'll record the sound and send it over. If it is as you said, does the actuator need replacing or just tightening up and where would they be located.

Often times it will need replaced, but I would like to hear it before I suggest anything like that. I hope you understand.

I was trying to record it but now it's not happening anymore. So I have to wait until it happens again.

Not a problem. Let me know when you get it to happen again.

Take care,
